Highway 417 Expansion
Information regarding a Design and Construction Report (DCR), documenting the detailed design and associated environmental protection measures, has been prepared for the Highway 417 Expansion, Operational Improvements and Infrastructure Rehabilitation from Nicholas Street to Ottawa Road 174 in the City of Ottawa.
Rideau Canal Crossing
The City has updated information on the proposed Rideau Canal Crossing and is conducting an online survey to gather feedback.
GCA Board Nominations
Elections are held every year at our Annual General Meeting, on Tuesday, June 12th this year. All positions on the board are open for nominations every year. Bank Street Reconstruction
The final stages of the construction are well underway. In addition to finishing the street paving and the interlock sidewalks, the City will be planting trees and installing all the garbage cans, benches, chairs, bike racks, and public art. And the timeline is accelerated - they hope to get it all done by the end of June. It won't involve road closures and detours; at most it will require temporary lane closures. It will impact access to businesses on Bank Street though, so once again we are encouraging you to "shop local" - get out and support your Glebe retailers!
