Coffee House on Sustainability

Loading Events

Join us for the fourth in a series of exciting free events dedicated to sustainability in Ottawa! At the Coffee House on Sustainability – Transportation, we’ll dive into discussions about EVs, PHEVs, charging infrastructure, car-sharing, car-free living, e-bikes, and other eco-friendly options for improving the air quality of our communities. We’ll also talk about 15-minute communities and how to make our neighbourhoods more walkable and cycling friendly. Get ready to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from knowledgeable neighbours who have already made sustainable choices, and share your own ideas.

This Coffee House will feature two brief presentations, one on “A Beginner’s Guide to, and Busting Myths about, EVs”” (Mike Banks, VP, EV Council of Canada) and the other on “The 15-Minute Neighbourhood” (Carolyn Mackenzie, Walkable Ottawa).

As well, organizations doing exciting work in sustainable transportation will host info tables: EV Council of Ottawa, Walkable Ottawa, the City of Ottawa, Strong Towns Ottawa, CAFES and more. There will be a display of books on Green Transit from the Ottawa Public Library.

Location: Glebe Community Centre, 175 Third Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario K1S 2K2
