Everyone who lives or works in the Glebe is eligible to become a member. If you live or work in Dows Lake or the Glebe Annex you are also welcome to join.

Each member is eligible for a vote at the annual GCA meeting. We enroll members individually, and all adults (18+) have voting privileges at the annual GCA meeting (normally held in September).

This is a one-year membership which will end on May 31, 2027.

One last thing! If you would like to receive our monthly update and other neighbourhood news via email, please add your email below. We will never sell or share your email address.

What is the Dows Lake Residents Association?

The Dow’s Lake Residents’ Association represents the unique interests of residents residing on and between Bronson West, Carling North, the Rideau Canal and Dows Lake. The Tulip Festival, Winterlude, the new Ottawa Hospital location, traffic and parking, construction projects, safe streets, welcoming parks, vibrant natural spaces, respectful development, a penchant for history, neighbourhood charm, are just some of the issues we work on.  Do you live in this area?  Do these issues matter to you?  Join today!

 Membership FAQs

Who can be a member?

Any adult (age 18+) who lives or works in the Glebe is eligible. Those who live or work in the area of Dows Lake or the Glebe Annex are also eligible to join.

What is the cost and term of my membership?

An annual membership, which runs from June 1 to May 31, is only $10.00 per person. There is no reduction of fees if you join mid-way through the year.

However, if you join or renew in April or May (just prior to the beginning of the new membership year), you gain a bonus month and your membership is extended through to May 31.

Why does the GCA ask for adult members’ name and email address?

We need this information so that the GCA can contact you directly about the Annual General Meeting. This is a legal requirement of the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA).  If you’ve agreed, we’ll also email regular summaries on GCA issues.

How does the GCA protect my privacy?

Information collected is exclusively for the use of the GCA and is never provided to any other organization.
