In 2024-2025, the GCA Parks Committee worked with the city to improve its soil risk management and design plan for Lionel Britton Park and pursue mitigation of damage and vandalism that has been occurring at Exploration Park and other spaces. It initiated a garden maintenance agreement for Exploration Park and awaits completion of the city’s Community Gardens Action Plan, which it hopes to implement at Fire Station Park as part of its ongoing efforts to bring more greening and amenities there.
