Fire Station Park has been conditionally approved by the City of Ottawa for its Community-Led Greening Initiatives & Gardening Program.
The committee’s work with this new program is being planned in partnership with the Ottawa Horticultural Society (OHS), the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library, and Fletcher Wildlife Garden. Envisioned is a native garden with plants for pollinators and birds to provide animation and interesting things for seniors to see in the park.
The committee is now in the process of entering into a stewardship agreement with the City to initiate and maintain this project.
