Work is currently paused on the Bronson/Chamberlain construction project due to its proximity to a city watermain. The work, when completed, will see the re-alignment of Chamberlain Avenue, shifted north as it approaches Bronson and connecting it with the improved Bronson off-ramp.

The Parks Committee has long advocated that the city take advantage of this construction project to green the soon-to-be- ‘old’ Chamberlain Avenue, expanding Glebe Memorial Park in the process.

A longer term expansion of the park itself to include this area might require a soil mitigation plan among other considerations. In the shorter term, however, the GCA looks forward to this initial expansion of greenspace in our neighborhood.

This year also saw the repair and painting of the Park’s rink shack, inside and out, along with the re-jigging of its keying, automatic light functions, and hose location.
