-Bill reported that Cynthia has been working on City forms for proposed HCD, including Architectural Descriptions, research, and administration. She will now turn to Plaque Program.
-Johanna reported that (1) GCA has approved $200 for Plaque Program, (2) there should be an article in the Glebe Report (April or May), and (3) there will be flyers for the proposed HCD. GCA does not want plaques placed on front lawns without consultation.
-Wolf suggested that students canvass the area, and that volunteers prepare half-page write-ups, then take them around for permission. Johanna agreed in principle for the future and subject to manpower. Johanna said the flyer might have a link to the Website.
667 Bank Street Proposal (Bank and Clemow)
-Johanna reported that the developer is making changes, and wants to meet with Johanna and Carolyn MacKenzie. Bill said the proposal involves the Park and Heritage.
Planning Issues & Potential Demolitions
-Wolf reported there is a new proposal for McKale’s at Bank & 5th, with balconies and 4 storeys.
-Johanna heard that the LCBO has not yet been sold.
-Wolf was told by the owner that demolition of the white house at Bank & Clemow should start in June, after removal of asbestos. The owners want the same setback on the east side as before demolition. The cladding of the front should blend in with the rest of the street.
-Bank & 5th, SE corner. Johanna said owners plan to build the same as before fire.
-Johanna is updating the Website.
