Poster Design Competition for Grades 3 to 6
The GCA Environment Committee, in collaboration with the United Nations Association in Canada’s Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador, is holding a poster design competition to discourage motor vehicle idling in school zones. Join us in raising awareness of this issue and in working to ensure cleaner air for our children and us all.

- Why: Idling harms the environment and human health, especially children’s health
- Who: Students in Grades 3 to 6 at all Glebe schools
- Who Else: Parents, principals and teachers, please encourage your children to participate
- When: Deadline to submit poster designs is May 14; winning designs will be announced by May 28
- How: Competition guidelines and rules here; questions to environment@glebeca.ca
- The Goal: Cleaner air for Glebe students and the education community
A winner at each school will have their poster featured in the Glebe Report and community social media, and will receive a certificate and a $50 prize. Grade-level winners at each school will receive certificates. Posters may also be reproduced as banners to be posted around schoolyards.
