A group of Honours students in the Geography Dep’t, under the supervision of Prof. John Milton, are looking into how the Glebe currently meets (or not) the definition and functionality of the 15-minute walkable neighbourhood as the focus of their spring course.  15 min neighbourhoods are typically defined ones in which you can access all or most of your most basic, day-to-day needs within a 15-minute walk/ride of your home.  It is also sometimes called a complete neighborhood.

For those interested in this concept for increasing liveability, reducing GHG emissions, promoting community, health and happiness, this is a hot topic!  It is also central to the City’s vision for our future, as per the Draft Official Plan. The insights from their research will be shared with the GCA and the community.

The attached survey should only take 10 minutes to complete and email back to Prof. Milton.  Students will then be looking to conduct more in-depth interviews with those who are willing.

Thank you for participating.
