Welcome to our Board page
The GCA is a non-profit organization that recruits members via an annual door-to-door campaign. Members elect a board of directors, which meets on the fourth Tuesday of most months (normally not in July, August or December). Those meetings are open to all, and anyone from the community can raise an issue at board meetings.

The Glebe Community Association is a volunteer, non-profit organization that advocates for a liveable, sustainable, diverse urban community. For more than 50 years, we have worked to make the Glebe a better place to live.
The GCA is managed by volunteers from the community, who form the Board of Director. The Board is elected annually at our Annual General meeting.
The Board is made up of an executive, committee chairs and area representatives. Every aspect of the Association’s work is carried out by volunteers (in other words, we have no staff). We are a working board.
It is expected that board members will:
- Prepare for and participate in monthly board meetings on the fourth Tuesday of the month, except in July, August and December.
- Manage the affairs and activities of the GCA in keeping with our bylaws and board of director’s manual.
- Contribute time to carry out the responsibilities related to their position on the Board.
